Floating Sail Club, St. Moritz, Switzerland

The project was designed during the Diploma semester on the second Master year at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio with professor Arch. Diébédo Francis Kéré. The project was selected for the exhibition in St. Moritz Design Gallery - “Quo Vadis?” which took place from June 17th 2017 until December 8th 2017.

The project is situated at the end of a promenade along the lake: the floating structure extends this path. Due to its location, the project becomes a new landmark on the lake. The beam-pillar joint is designed in a way that the whole structure feels like its floating as the building itself is floating on the lake.
