Andrea Neri

was born in Belgium and moved to Italy in the early 2000s. He studied at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, founded by Mario Botta, where he graduated with highest honors and was nominated for the prestigious Boni Prize. During his studies, he trained under internationally acclaimed architects including Francesco Venezia, Manuel and Francisco Aires Mateus, Francis Kéré, Bijoy Jain (Studio Mumbai), Riccardo Blumer, Esteban Bonell, and Martin Boesch.

Following his graduation, he relocated to Sydney, where he worked with JPW and Renato D’Ettorre Architects on a number of significant projects, including GB House, recipient of multiple architectural awards.

In 2019, he returned to Italy and opened his own practice in the historic center of Naples. His work ranges from architectural design to site supervision and consulting, with a particular focus on residential and hospitality renovations. Alongside private projects, he actively takes part in architecture competitions and collaborates with public institutions, especially in the field of educational architecture.

His design philosophy strikes a balance between technical precision and artistic sensibility, with a deep attention to materiality, light, and context. Along with a solid architectural foundation, he brings a strong passion for fine arts, photography, and design — disciplines that broaden his creative outlook and shape a contemporary, cross-disciplinary vision of living spaces. His work draws inspiration from the memory of places while embracing innovation, always seeking a meaningful dialogue between space, history, and human experience.
