Living Bridge, Parma, Italy
The project was designed during the third year of Bachelor at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio with professor Arch. Francesco Venezia. The project was published in 2014 in the book "Il ponte abitato - Progetti per Parma dall'Accademia di Mendrisio".
“The solution is to put on a stretched arched bridge an elliptical boundary. Inside the boundary there is a bleacher, it counter-slopes compared to the profile of the bridge, and creates a space for an outdoor theatre. Within this place you cannot see anything but the sky: being in an exceptional position but not having a visual confirmation gives to this space a great emphasis. On the outer side of the shell, between the elliptical wall and the walled sides of the bridge, there is an arched ramp to those who want to reach the other bank of Parma stream.”
